Pulaski Head Start – Bryan, Ohio

Are you someone who takes pride in a clean kitchen, enjoys working behind the scenes, and finds joy in nourishing others? Join our caring and collaborative team at Pulaski Head Start as a Cook/Custodian, where you’ll help feed and support preschool children (ages 3–5) while contributing to a positive and healthy learning environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist in preparing and assembling nutritious meals and snacks for young children following USDA guidelines

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment

  • Perform light custodial duties to ensure the school meets health and safety standards

  • Work with a team that values teamwork, reliability, and a cheerful attitude

  • Help create a warm and welcoming experience for the children and staff in our Pulaski Center!


Compensation & Schedule:

  • Starting Wage: $16.29/hour ($18.63 w/ Person in Charge Serve Safe Certificate and $19.01 w/ Manager Serve Safe Certificate)

  • Hours: 34 hours per week

  • Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 7:00-4:00 PM (final schedule TBD)

  • Status: Union, Non-exempt

  • Summers Off

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)

  • At least one year of experience cooking or working with food, preferred

  • Must have or be able to obtain a Serve Safe Certification

  • Must be insurable under NOCAC’s vehicle insurance policy (good driving record)
  • Must pass a criminal background check
