Medical Care Plan

POLICY:

Parents and NOCAC Staff work together to complete a Medical Care Plan for children with special health conditions, medical symptoms, and for food and activities to avoid.

PROCEDURES:

  1. Classroom teaching staff files a completed signed and dated Child Medical Care Plan by the parent and NOCAC Head Start/Early Head Start staff member.
  2. Classroom teaching staff follows the instructions on the Medical Care Plan, including documentation of training received by the parent or a certified professional.
  3. NOCAC HS/EHS ensures that a trained staff person is available on sire to administer medication.
  4. If medication is required as part of this care plan, NOCAC staff follow the procedure of Administering Medication to children.
