Speech and Language Screeners

POLICY:

NOCAC Head Start/Early Head Start will use one or more research-based standardized screening tools for any participant that a staff member or parent suspects has a concern.

 

PROCEDURES:

  1. Contact the Disabilities Services Coordinator to request a speech/language screener.
  2. The Disabilities Services Coordinator will:
    1. Schedule speech/language screenings with an outside agency.
    2. Document results of all speech/language screenings in Child Plus, email teachers with results and share copies of screeners and, if requested, write a report for families with copies of all screeners used.
