Are you passionate about helping others and creating meaningful change in your community? Do you believe that everyone deserves safe, stable housing? The PATH Center is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Housing Navigator to join our team.

This vital position supports individuals and families experiencing homelessness by providing direct advocacy, housing support, and connections to critical services. As a Housing Navigator, you will help our most vulnerable neighbors take the steps necessary to secure permanent housing, rebuild their lives, and achieve self-sufficiency.

What You’ll Do:

  • Serve as a frontline advocate, supporting homeless individuals using a Housing First and Low Barrier approach.
  • Build trusted relationships and collaborate with community agencies to connect clients to shelter, transportation, permanent housing, employment, and supportive services.
  • Provide hands-on assistance with daily living needs, including hygiene, health referrals, crisis management, job readiness, and life skills.
  • Coordinate daily shelter activities, volunteer support, and food distribution services, fostering a welcoming and dignified environment.
  • Support the overall operation of the PATH Center Emergency Shelter and Soup Kitchen, including preparing units and maintaining a safe, clean space.
  • Participate in fundraising efforts, community outreach, and ROMA program reporting to help ensure the long-term success of our services.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A compassionate, motivated individual who is committed to serving others without judgment.
  • Strong communication and advocacy skills with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations and community partners.
  • Organizational skills and adaptability in a people-centered environment.
  • A minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Human Services, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Criminal Justice or closely related degree, preferred OR any Associate’s/Bachelor’s Degree with demonstrated public service experience OR High School Diploma with a minimum of one (1) year demonstrated public service experience including intake, data entry, and working with high need individuals, in lieu of higher education.
  • Must be able to lift 15 lb. minimum (ie. helping with donations)
  • Must have a valid Ohio Drivers’ License, maintain state minimum amount of automobile liability insurance, and be insurable through NOCAC’s insurance carrier.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.68 – $20.80 per hour (based on education qualifications)

Expected hours: 40 per week
