POLICY:
Parents and NOCAC Staff work together to complete a Medical Care Plan for children with special health conditions, medical symptoms, and for food and activities to avoid.
PROCEDURES:
- Classroom teaching staff files a completed signed and dated Child Medical Care Plan by the parent and NOCAC Head Start/Early Head Start staff member.
- Classroom teaching staff follows the instructions on the Medical Care Plan, including documentation of training received by the parent or a certified professional.
- NOCAC HS/EHS ensures that a trained staff person is available on sire to administer medication.
- If medication is required as part of this care plan, NOCAC staff follow the procedure of Administering Medication to children.
