Nutrition Aide (Pantry Coordinator)- Pulaski Head Start

​Are you organized, dependable, and someone who likes keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes? NOCAC Head Start is looking for a part-time, part-year Nutrition Aide – Pantry Support to help support our kitchens and the children we serve.

This position is based at our Pulaski Head Start location and plays an important role in keeping our food and supply pantry organized, stocked, and ready to meet the needs of our Head Start sites.

What you’ll do:

• Organize, stock, rotate, and maintain food and paper-product inventory
• Prepare and distribute food and supply orders for Head Start kitchens
• Monitor inventory and help keep appropriate supplies on hand
• Assist with receiving and putting away food and supply deliveries
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary pantry
• Provide kitchen support at Pulaski and substitute at other Head Start locations as needed
• Assist with meal and snack preparation, service, cleanup, and food-safety procedures
• Travel between Head Start locations as needed to support nutrition operations

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED
• Food preparation or nutrition experience preferred
• ServSafe certification or willingness and ability to become certified
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Valid Ohio driver’s license and required automobile insurance
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 pounds
