Bryan Good Neighbor Utilities Fund
Help is available for customers of Bryan Municipal Utilities with emergency bill paying assistance to prevent disconnection of water, electricity, and/or communications services.
The program is funded by donations from Bryan Municipal Utility’s generous employees, Bryan residents and businesses.
Program Eligibility:
- Must be a Bryan Municipal Utilities Customer
- Household income at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines or exceptional hardship.
- Customers must apply for all eligible energy assistance programs.
- Assistance is capped at $500 per household per year.

Edgerton Cares
Customers of City of Edgerton Utilities may be able to receive assistance for emergency bill payments that prevent disconnection of water and/or electricity.
The program is funded by donations from City of Edgerton utility customers.
Program Eligibility:
- Must be a City of Edgerton Utilities Customer
- Household income at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines or exceptional hardship.
- Customers must apply for all eligible energy assistance programs.
City of Edgerton Emergency Assistance Program
This program provides emergency assistance to residents of the Village of Edgerton who are experiencing financial hardship. Assistance is available to households that are unable to make utility payments and are at risk of service disconnection. The program also offers rent and mortgage assistance for eligible households facing emergency situations that may lead to eviction or foreclosure. Funding for this program comes from donations made by City of Edgerton utility customers and is intended to help residents maintain safe, stable housing and access to essential services. Maximum yearly assistance up to $500 per household (based on availability of funds).
General Assistance Eligibility
To be considered for assistance, applicants must:
- Be a verified resident of the Village of Edgerton
- Be a Village of Edgerton Utilities customer
- Household income at or below 225% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines
Utility Assistance Details
Utility assistance helps households with emergency needs who are unable to make their utility payments and are at risk of service disconnection.
Eligible utility expenses include:
- Electric
- Water
- Sewer
- Storm water
- Utility deposits
- Late fees, penalties, and reconnection charges
Rent and Mortgage Assistance
Rent and mortgage assistance is available to eligible households facing emergency financial hardship.
This assistance helps households who:
- Are unable to make rent or mortgage payments
- Are at risk of eviction or foreclosure
